Meet Michelle: The woman behind The Mum Reset Community

Discover the personal journey and passion that ignited The Mum Reset Community, a space designed for mums ready to reclaim their lives.

Why I created The Mum Reset Community

Honestly, I created The Mum Reset Community because I needed it too. I got so fucking used to being Mum, partner, the organiser, the one holding everything together… that somewhere along the way, I stopped checking in with me. And when I finally did, I realised I didn’t want the old me back. I wanted to figure out who the fuck I am now. That’s really where this started. I know I’m not the only mum who loves her family but has looked at herself and thought, “Where the hell did I go?” So I created a space where we can be fucking honest about that. No pretending. No perfect mums. No bullshit. Just women figuring out who they are now, together. I’m still figuring.

You don't have to lose yourself

I want every mum to walk away knowing she doesn’t have to lose herself just because she became a mum. You can love your kids, love your family, and still want a life that feels like yours. You’re allowed to want more. You’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to take up space. You matter too, babe. Don’t fucking forget it.

My personal journey and challenges

One thing that’s been really hard for me is realising how much of myself I put on the back burner while I was busy being a mum and looking after everyone else. I’ve also had some pretty big life moments that forced me to slow down and really look at what matters to me, who I am, and what kind of life I actually want. There have been times where I’ve had to completely rethink what I thought my life was going to look like. And honestly, that shit changes you. But it also made me realise I don’t want to spend the rest of my life waiting for the “right time” to start choosing myself too.

The impact I hope to have

I want them to take their fucking lives back. Not abandon their kids. Not become someone they’re not. Not go back to who they were before motherhood. I mean actually start making decisions for themselves again. Start doing the things they’ve put off. Set the boundaries they’ve been scared to set. Chase the things they want. And stop feeling guilty for wanting a life that feels like theirs too. Because I’ve had to learn this myself — you can love your family with everything you’ve got and still realise you’ve got a life to fucking live too. That’s the impact I want this community to have. I want a mum to come in feeling like she’s lost herself and eventually say: “Fuck it. I’m taking my life back.”
